GV281 : The Effect Of Role Overload On The Mental Health Of Physical Education Teachers With The Moderating Role Of Perceived Social Support

Abstarct: Teachers have the main responsibility of educating students and have a high position in the process of transforming the educational system, and their mental health and the factors affecting it are of great importance. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of role burden on the mental health of physical education teachers with the moderating role of perceived social support. According to the purpose, the current research method is considered to be applied research, and in terms of the method of data collection, it is descxriptive research and correlation designs are structural equation modeling. The statistical population of this research included physical education teachers in North Khorasan province. The available sampling method and the sample size was determined using Gpower software of 216 people. The research tools in this study include; The personal information questionnaire, Mental Health Questionnaire of Lutke et al. (2022),the Role Overload Questionnaire of Pecharach et al. (1990) and the Perceived Social Support Questionnaire of Gray et al. (2020). Raw data collected using structural equation modeling using PI software. L. S was analyzed. The results of the research showed that role burden has a negative and significant effect on the mental health of physical education teachers. Also, the results showed that social support does not have a moderating role in the relationship between role burden and mental health of physical education teachers. Therefore, it can be said that the burdensomeness of the role reduces the mental health of physical education teachers and has a negative effect on it, and the burdensomeness of the role of physical education teachers in education should be reduced, and it is suggested that enough time to complete the tasks and roles Physical education teachers should be given to them in order to reduce the pressure and burden of the role of physical education teachers.
